Karen Bourre e Mike Leclair, both French, are presenting a juggling number entitled “Have a Ball”: it tells the story of a casual encounter between a man and a woman. The romantic setting is a park bench on a warm summer evening in the ‘1930’s. Karen, born in Paris, gained her Circus degree at the “Circus Space” school in London. Mike, born in Saint-Saulve, gained his degree at the “Kiev State College of Circus and Variety Arts”. Karen and Mike met for the first time in a Circus ring in Lille, and have been working together since then, sharing their mutual love of juggling.
Anastasia Makeeva is a young Russian performer. She completed her studies with a degree from the Moscow State Circus School, specializing in musical clowning. With a special desire to learn acrobatics, over the years Anastasia has also worked on perfecting her aerial acrobatic skills. Anastasia Makeeva presents an original aerial tango number, of which she is also creator and director. This particularly powerful performance is executed without safety lines
Lisa Rinne is a young German performer. After completing her studies at Oldenburg (Germany) in 2007, Lisa went on to train artistically at the Circus Academy of Tilburg (Netherlands) where, in 2011, she started specializing in the trapeze. The number that Lisa Rinne is presenting here is called “Fallen”. In seven minutes the performer manages to combine two traditional Circus disciplines, the trapeze and the aerial ladder: an innovative and dynamic choice in which Lisa Rinne communicates the tension and emotion of falling and the absence of weight. The number is accompanied by three pieces of music by the “Balanescu Quartet”.
Rudy Janecek is a twenty-three-year-old performer from the Czech Republic. He started his artistic career at seven years of age. Rudy, in keeping with his youth, presents the very traditional Circus art of juggling with a new twist for a new generation: high-speed juggling is combined with acrobatic accents in this performance. Rudy juggles with up to eight clubs and goes for a backwards somersault with three clubs in the air
